Directory HOW TO USE THIS DIRECTORY |
|
All of the storytellers in this directory are members of the South Coast Storytellers Guild, one of the premier storytelling groups in the country. Each teller has a unique and extensive repertoire of stories. In each listing the teller has provided a description of their repertoire, their usual audience age, and any special programs they offer. Customized programs may require extended lead time. There may be several tellers who offer a program similar to what you have in mind. We encourage you to contact several tellers to discuss your program. Elements that affect the program include the date, time, audience size, age range of expected audience, and your budget. The teller can assist you with any problems you may have with your program. Individuals in this directory are all professional storytellers, and expect to be compensated for their performances. While storytellers do perform pro bono (for free), it is generally for people or organizations they are familiar with and support. Finally, ask the storyteller if you can attend a performance. There really isn't any substitute for first-hand knowledge of a storyteller's style through seeing and hearing the teller perform before a live audience. Finalize your arrangements and then enjoy the magic of including professional storytelling at your event. Storytellers are listed in alphabetical order. |
